Fee Schedule
THE FORT LUPTON FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICTS APPROVED FEES FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT’S REVIEW OF DEVELOPMENT PLANS, INSPECTION OF STRUCTURES AND OTHER RELATED SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the International Fire Code 2018 Edition, which the Fort Lupton Fire Protection District has adopted, authorizes the Fire District to review development plans, inspect structures, and perform other related services; and the Fort Lupton Fire Protection District has set fees for such services.
Application of Fees:
- The following fee schedule shall apply to all plan reviews, inspections and test witnessing services performed by the fire district.
- The fee schedule for plan reviews includes field inspections, test witnessing and required permits.
- The district has the right to wave such fees if the district feels it is necessary.
The Following Fee Schedule is based upon site square footage, work being completed by contractors, or time spent reviewing the submitted plans.

The Plan/Site Inspection Fee set forth above is for the initial review of construction documents submitted in support of an application for a construction permit, and where appropriate a site inspection. Additional reviews of re-submitted or revised plans and /or additional site inspections shall be calculated at the rate of $50.00 an hour, with a minimum fee of $50.00.

No developer is required to provide any site-specific dedication or improvement to meet the same need for capital facilities for which a Fire Impact Fee is imposed pursuant to the Impact Fee Schedule.
The District and a developer may mutually determine whether an "in-kind" contribution may be made by the developer in lieu of paying all or portion of a Fire Impact Fee.
Fees will be based on the amount of fire hydrants located in a single-family residential project. Fees will be $50.00 per fire hydrant.
Residential Sprinkler Plans will be $40.00 which will include plan review, 1 rough in/hydro test, and 1 final/acceptance test. If needed other fees will be based upon the hourly rate shown below.
NOTE: Fees for multi-family projects will be based on the commercial fee schedule above.

All Fire Alarm calls require a fire department response, where the system operated properly and the fire department inspection reveals the alarm was caused by actual smoke or fire condition there will not be considered as a nuisance call and will not be charged for.
All Fire Alarm calls require a fire department response, where a fire department inspection reveals the alarm was caused by a system malfunction, user error, or by an undetermined cause, the alarms will be considered as nuisance calls and will be subject to the following table for charges.
System malfunction: An alarm which a fire district inspection reveals was caused by: (1) poor or improper maintenance; (2) improper installation of alarm equipment, hardware, or wiring.
User Error: The intentional or negligent act or omission of an agent, employee, contractor, or representative of the owner, occupant or lessee.

Any person or entity that commences any work before obtaining a construction permit required by IFC section 105.7 shall be subject to an inspection fee in an amount equal to the amount of the Construction Permit Fee or $100.00, whichever is greater. The fee shall be separate from and in addition to a Construction Permit Fee. Payment of the inspection fee shall not relieve any person from compliance with all other provisions of the fire code or from any other penalty prescribed by law. The inspection fee shall be assessed whether or not a Construction Permit is then or subsequently issued.
